The taiga (known as boreal forest in North America) biome is a large area of forest that stretches through Europe, Asia, and North America. It is our largest land biome, making up one third of all the forest biomes on Earth. The taiga is important to life on Earth. Its trees clean our air, its wetlands clean and store our water. I hope you’ll enjoy exploring this fascinating biome with us!

Please note: the terms taiga and boreal forest are used interchangeably throughout this study.

This study is meant for all ages! I've included fun activities for preschool aged and elementary age students everything can be adapted for older children.
